Memo to the Anti-Choice movement - No means NO
Edited on Wed Mar-11-09 02:54 PM by ck4829
1. In 2008, just like in 2006, the anti-choice movement received a "thumpin'," not a SINGLE anti-choice initiative or bill declaring that an 8-celled zygote was the same as you or me passed. What's the anti-choice movement to do do?

2. They choose Marilyn Musgrave, an ex-representative who was booted out of power in 2008, to become a director of an anti-choice organization. Musgrave was not gracious in defeat, she just fled Washington without conceding or congratulating her opponent. Real classy, huh?

3. She is going to head a project where, they claim, they will be targeting legislators "who are out of step with their district on the life issue." I get the feeling that any pro-choice legislators out there will be automatically declared to be out of step with their district, who wants to bet I'm not right about that?

The American People have said "NO!" over and over again. But hey, it's your money and your credibility you're wasting.

1. And after all those years of being in unquestioned power
The Republican party did not give the anti-choice movement is most cherished gift: the constitutional amendment outlawing abortion. Sure, they launched not one but two illegal wars of empire. Trimmed constitutional habeas corpus guarantees. Violated our nation's treaty obligations. Tortured a bunch of people. Lied about all of it. Meddled in the affairs of the Schiavo family (heck, Dubya even cut short one of his innumerable vacations to dash back to Washington to sign the bill!).

But they just couldn't outlaw abortion.

Does that tell you something, anti-choice mob? The Republicans will torture people before they outlaw abortion. They'll flush a trillion dollars down the toilet before they outlaw abortion. They'll drag America's name through the mud, and they still won't outlaw abortion. Are you feeling used enough yet?
