what is the matter with people
I live in L.A. and it's an area of poor and many seemingly well of and middle class if you can judge this from the cars they drive.

I was midway in a block near a major intersection during the morning rush hour and an older women was at the curb with two bags of groceries and she suddenly fell into the street at the curb of the sidewalk lane and I saw at least 10 or more cars steer around her rather than stop to help her . I tried to get out of my car and I got horns blowing and drivers telling more your car which there was not place it move it too, my focus was on helping her but a man in an older yet once expensive car finally stopped in the right lane and helped her up .

This really makes me lose faith in humanity , she was clearly not a threat and yet people steered around her like they would a trash bin that rolled into the street.

6. "I'm busy" trumps common decency.
The rat race produces very busy rats.

7. it is fucked up
Even back in 2003 when I was working for a ford dealership I had to road test repaired cars and trucks if they had concerns and as I entered the intersection on green light this car on the opposite side suddenly made a left and going only 20mph I could not stop the truck I was drivng , airbags went off , smoke filled the cabin and lucky for me the should belt was still on and stopped me from exiting because the cars were flying around me and then when I did exit all I got was horns blowing and people yelling get that thing out of the dman way. I have never been in an accident since I got my license in 1966 and then to top this off the lady who I hit walked away from the accident saying she had an appointment and left her smashed car at the curb and moved it there even with a front flat tire rubbing on the fender. I or anyone else would have sat there if they had a broken neck until someone came alone willing to even get near the truck.
