The Limbaugh Creature

Perhaps we should all be thanking whatever supreme being may exist for giving us Rush Limbaugh.

This despicable man has done more to tarnish the Republican Party than Bush and Cheney combined. (That's not to say that Bush and Cheney shouldn't be tried for crimes against humanity at The Hague.)

However, for every clueless person who can't or won't see the crimes committed over the past eight years, it's virtually impossible to ignore the daily doses of poison spilling from the mouth of the Limbaugh Creature.

His dittoheads are a lost cause. But I hope he continues to puke up his venom so that every sane person finally recognizes what he is and what he stands for.

There can be no disputing the man's bigotry, his hatred of women, or his wish for the death of "liberalism" (which many of us consider to be caring about our fellow human beings). And as disgusting as it seems, he's all but stated that he's counting the moments that Ted Kennedy has to live. That's beyond sick.

So why be grateful for Limbaugh? Because he is the true, unmasked, naked face of the Republican Party and those who own them.

6. I'm Having Problems Remembering Rush's Name

I've found that of late I've had trouble remembering Rush's stage name. You see, I've recently rented a movie titled Tripping the Rift: The Movie and I keep having to remember that Limbaugh fellow's name is Rush, not Chode, Rush, not Chode, Rush not Chode...

7. Limbaugh would disappear into obscurity in no time if the following things happened.

Bring back the Sherman anti-trust act and break up the monopoly that Premier Radio and its parent company Clear Channel have on the airwaves to play all Rush on all their radio outlets. In a world with true free market competition other radio stations not owned by those companies would be free to broadcast other talk show hosts like Thom Hartmann against him. He would lose in the ratings in most markets if that happened and we could say, buh bye Rush.

8. Limbaugh is doing much to redeem the word "liberal" in our popular culture.

I've met people who identified themselves as liberals almost exclusively because of their disgust for men like Limbaugh, Hannity, their own freeper uncle, etc. They hear these cretins railing against liberals and say to themselves, "hey- I hate this guy. I must be a liberal".
