Notice what has happened?
The stem-cell restriction lifting has brought back the old wedge issues that media just LOVES to "debate".. It brings out all the fringe-folks from both sides, and never resolves a thing, because each side is hardened in their philosophy....Plenty of heat..but little light

The financial meltdown is somehow too "serious" to focus on, and I'd bet that the voices from on high, have sent down word that they are to veer away from the whole thing,.,.

so in recent days we have

Rush
stem-cell/abortion/in-vitro (Can Octo-Mom be far behind?)
earmarks

7. I agree with you.
The Henny Penny-media's nonstop squawking 'the sky is falling' isn't helping.

The Stem Cell Order may distract the talking heads for awhile so people can get on about their business of working, paying bills, maybe saving a little, and the economy can start to right itself without the microscope focused on the Dow 24/7.

4. Professional wrestling
no resolution please spend more money

the financial meltdown isn't all that confusing it is the result of "beliefs" and "ideology" instead of real world management. It is not surprising that people didn't notice because they "have so much to do" and really who wants to spend time on such trivial matters just turn on the radio and either get lost in song or have the voice from the dashboard explain it all to you.

5. well, I think you called this one perfectly. The problem is - the opposition
doesn't have a better/different solution to what the important issues are. I'm not counting the laughable "spending freeze" as a plan or solution because it isn't.

9. Uh-oh. When the GOP-controlled media starts obsessing with the trivial ...
... that means we're either going to be attacked or they're preparing for a distraction of monumental proportions.
