Embryonic stem cells
I'm listening to Ron Reagan discussing how to open up research without crossing that magic line that people consider unethical.

Personally, I have absolutely no compunctions about harvesting human eggs and sperm, stirring them together, and using them to cure disease. I have no idea what a "soul" is and if it exists, when it gets attached to a gamete. And I don't give a rat's ass. This process would not offend me in the least.

1. If we can put chimps, mice, etc. into cages
and experiment on them, I don't see why we can't mess around with some stupid embryos.

2. I'm for experimenting on all of them.

3. Oh, I am too.
Where would we be if animal experimentation had been illegal? It just burns me up when those religious right bastards act like they have the moral high ground on stem cell research when they never say a damn word about animal experimentation.

4. If I may suggest,
aren't living animals more "sacred" than goo in a petri dish?

6. Like the guy says in "Pulp Fiction" --
"a dog's got personality and personality goes a long way."

5. Two things.
1. It's a raccoon. Not a monkey's brain.

2. It's Dennis Leary. Not Nick Dipaolo.

7. The easy decision is the most necessary - should we incinerate them or use them
since right now fertility clinics either freeze them indefinitely or incinerate them in an autoclave the throw them out.

9. yeah, that is the easy one, but
I am saying go ahead and create more for the purpose if need be. Hell, clone humans if it helps. Clone 'em and raise 'em for all I care. This chest-beating about sacredness is absurd.
