Repulican Congressmen Propose Federal Workers in D.C. Pay No Income Tax.
Ahhh.. our good friends the Republicans.. at work again, "helping" the American People. I wonder who will benefit from this piece of creative legislation?

House Resolution 1014, which was introduced by the following members on February 9th of this year.

It proposes, that Federal Employees, living in the District of Columbia, be exempt from Federal Income Taxes.

Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN)

Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ)

Rep. Gregg Harper (R-MS)

Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO)

Rep. Ronald Paul (R-TX)

Rep. F. Sensenbrenner (R-WI)

3. Anything is better than that garbage bill.
Its just begging to be overturned, and it will if it passes.

In the end we will have an extra Utah Republican and DC voters will still be out in the cold.

I say call their bluff, I'm sure the Feds employ a huge amount of DC residents, it couldn't hurt.

5. Just federal workers?
What about those who work in DC in the private sector? Last time I checked they have to pay taxes as well.
