Any conservative who opposes stem cell treatments is free to refuse them
Really. I respect any adult who, out of conscience, opposes receiving any medical treatment that involves stem cell research. They are free to refuse such treatment, just as any adult can refuse blood transfusions for reasons of religious objection. I respect that.

All I have ever asked is that those of us who do not have those religious objections be free to obtain the treatments that we need, free from governmental interference.

1. They want to push their religious dogma as civil law
Refusing the treatment isn't good enough for them. They want to refuse it for all of us, as well.

I think they need to pay taxes for the privilege of interfering in politics and medicine.

2. Most will be the first in line
..when it yeilds new therapies for MS or cancer or whatever.

Their morals are shallow and only apply when they aren't the ones directly affected.

3. Against "Big Govm't", indeed.
Only when it affects their incessant greed for money, but they don't seem to mind government sticking it's nose in our bedrooms and laboratories and pretty much everywhere else.

4. Right, don't impose your religious dogmas onto the rest of us...
...or make us bear the burden of your convictions.
