Does anyone know of any books that talk about the mistakes made by the CIA? I am interested in finding out about the mistakes made regarding the Korean War and the Chinese and Korean relationship. I would also like to read books that just give the history of the CIA.

Miles Copeland, father of Stewart Copeland (drummer w/"The Police"), and one of the founding fathers of the OSS/CIA has some excellent books going back to the era you're looking for:

2. I don't know of any specifically about the Korean conflict or China

Check out this writer named Kennethh Conboy, he writes about the CIA in Asia, he might have a book about it. Legacy of Ashes and Safe for Democray:The Secret Wars of the CIA both have good overviews of the agency, I just checked the index of Safe for Democracy and it mentions the Korean War.
