Those miserable fucks will always find something to complain about, something in the food or service they find substandard, and some justification for not leaving a gratuity. Who in the world of the service industry thinks that right-wing d-bags were ever actually looking to make sure that the server was appropriately compensated? If they gave such a shit, the note would say "In addition to this 50% tip, I am also urging everyone I know to write their local congressperson to have your status changed from a "contracted employee" to a full-time employee who can at least be paid the minimum wage, if not more."

I have a friend who works in the restaurant business and he's always told us stories about people who were bad tippers. He opened my eyes, and I now give the standard and give a great tip (for me) for really good service. These people are basically paid in tips. period. and if you can't pay a tip, you shouldn't go to a restaurant.

I've done something similar to asshole customers as did some of my fellow servers. It was very rare but then, it was reserved for the truly repulsive customer.

A waiter or waitress really does not care about the stimulus package. This bullshit does nothing but hurt the working person. That is exactly what conservative republicans do all the time. The small percentage a waiter or waitress gets is now reduced to a right wing attack on their pocketbook.
