Rush’s Rhetoric further de-stabilizing Wall St.
Anyone have a DJIA graph from the time Rush spewed his "I want Obama to FAIL" comments.

Seems to me the market dumped over 500pts since then

5. No he doesn't
But "fear" does move the markets! It's not Rush, but a combination of things. The MSM has been on their doom and gloom since Obama took office. Financial cable channels are working people up, republicans in congress have been screaming doom and gloom, and the markets react.

Now the big boys in the markets with the really big money know what they are doing, but the average investor can only see that their savings have been cut in half, and that scares them, as it should, but as long as the doom sayers keep on spewing their fear and doom scenario, average investors are selling out and this lowers the markets. Of course when those with the big money, and some who are average investors, are buying up the stocks for a little bit of nothing. Stocks that once were up in the $90 range are down to $10 and under, some as low as one or two dollars. There will come a time when the stocks go back up, but now it all helps to keep Obama from doing the things he wanted to do because he has to put all of his time and political capital into fixing the mess Bush left him. I rode out the other recessions, and will do the same with this one. It is scary, but I do see the markets going back up, don't know how long it will take, but it will go back up.

7. Your correct Andy - FEAR does play a big part of it
Most fund managers spends most of their time these days on the phone to jittery investors who lack the stomach to ride out the storm nor have the time to make it up again.

But from what I hearing on CNBC is they immediately started mimicing Rush's "Doom and Gloom" message, and the markets have decline 2000pts

4. Never forget who/what inspired Timothy McVeigh and where his
spiritual successors might be collecting today.

6. I find the question intrigueing - uncertainty is the enemy of the markets
and we have no idea if Rush is going to going to continue to S#%t or if we can knock him off the pot.
