MEANWHILE the assholes who are really responsible for this will continue to fuck us over and fly around on their private jets, live in mansions, have healthcare, and of course heat/ac/food/water.

We will not let them keep us in this system!
We will not be fooled again!
We will RISE UP, to bring this empire DOWN!
And we will win, because there are MORE OF US!

In this nation, we have been fattened up and dumbed-down, so that the rich and powerful can keep us under their control. Around the world, democratically elected governments have been overthrown and their nation's brought in line. Their people suffer in factories and fields to make the goods that buy us off.

FOOL US ONCE, FOOL US, CAN'T GET FOOLED AGAIN!

5. It starts with DU, and it has to move beyond.
There has never been a better system to organize a revolution than the internet.

Revolutions do not take place in the streets, they take place in our minds. If we can change the behavior of enough people, then this system will come down. The only thing that prevents the right thing from happening is what's in the minds of the people of our country.

They don't need to be egalitarians, they just need to be greedy. For their own selfish self-interests, the people of this nation must change their minds, and then on a set day in the future, all at once, change their behavior.

If we protest or riot, they can lock us in free speech zones or beat, taze, gas, shoot and bomb us to death. On the other hand, if we stay de-centralized and work on changing people's minds, they simply cannot take down that many people. They can shut down the internet, but then that will force people into the streets, and there would be no reason to shut it down until it was too late, because once the threat is large enough to merit action, it is over.

The goal is to change minds, change behavior, and then change the world.

The only thing holding us back is what's going on in our heads. They can have guns, but if no one supports them, including the people who fire the guns, then they lose their power. It's all mental, there is no real way that a few thousand or even tens of thousands of people can control millions.

Tyrants and oligarchs have used fear of their "power" throughout history to rule the people, but the only power they have is fear. If you deny them the fear, you deny them their power.

3. And while people are forced to live on the streets, houses are standing vacant
And the vacant houses are being vandalized to the point where not even the banks that forced their occupants out want them (per an article posted here last night).

I'm with the people who tell homeowners who are being foreclosed on to stay in their houses, and the people who help squatters take over vacant houses, and any other way we can keep houses occupied and maintained. It is for everyone's benefit to keep the houses in good condition - the banks, the neighbors and the towns.

4. It will lead to violence eventually...
I hope those groups are telling people to be non-violent. Violence will only give the assholes power to fuck us over again.

8. What I have read about the efforts to stay in or squat in foreclosed homes
It is a very passive activity. Of course, the M$M may not cover any stories about acts of civil disobedience and those efforts.

And since at least one sheriff decided to no longer evict people for banks (from a story posted in DU in the past) local law enforcement may not be energized to help the banks by doing their dirty work.

7. I just finished the Shruburbia National Anthem
We should teach it to the folks in Sacramento

Shruburbia My Home
(a faith-based anthem)
by Talking Dog

Shruburbia, Shruburbia
No mortgage, no rent.
Just pick out a clear space
and set up your tent.

Out in Shruburbia
children at play.
No school, no test
no read, no write.
It's always holiday.

Come to Shruburbia;
leave your cares behind.
No labor, no toil, no stress, no strife.
No work to find.

Some days we feast like kings;
cold stone soup and bread.
Other days, there's always dirt.
Thank God our kid's are fed.

(soaring refrain)
Take me
to Shruburbia;
where I can live free.
Back to
Shruburbia;
lord, please help me.
