In light of proof that our civil rights were shredded
IMHO: After the recent disclosure of Mr. Yoo and the evidence that we have unearthed these several years about how the Bush administration obliterated our constitutional rights, (I'm feeling ill over what happened to my civil rights) I feel we should have a national "sick in day" What we do is designate one day, where everybody who participates, calls in sick. We use that day to protest at every Republican office in every State, County and City that has one. Whether that be by silent vigil, loud protest or a blocking of the doors to prevent business as usual would be up to the organizers or who ever coordinates it nationally.

This may sound trivial but IMHO it's not. To me, this is the most serious thing that has happened since the Civil War.

What is would do:

1) Create discussion among the masses about the constitution and what happened to it.
2) Maybe create a groundswell for prosecution
3) Lay the blame exactly where it belongs: The Republican Party

Nothing happens unless we get out there and fight..people don't take notice if it's just business as usual...by doing this we could help wake up the sheep in our nation who have been sleeping these past eight years, plus put pressure on the administration to take prosecution of the offenders more seriously.

I would welcome some discussion on this, because I am willing to work on this as hard as possible. Please let me know what you think...if it's a bad idea, I'll drop it. Peace- Mike C

1. To all the Americans in this country that asked for an investigation
into why their phone service was constantly interrupted with tapping noises, or for all the Americans on the no fly list, or all the Americans who have been denied basic rights, thanks for being awake. You were the Americans on the front lines that they tried to remove.
