what exactly is the goal of our "mission" in afghanistan, and what is our 'exit strategy'...?
does anyone here actually know the answers to those questions...? i don't :shrug:

1. A fruitless, doomed mission if I ever saw one...
If anything, we should be in Pakistan helping to secure that country. The Pakistani military is getting the shit blown out of them by terrorist operated freely in most of the FATA.

3. The military didn't have answers to those questions which is why Pres. Obama
told them to do a review and come back with answers before he decided on our Afghanistan strategy.

To get us to that new Afghan strategy, Pres. Obama has created an 'inter-agency task force' to review U.S. policy in Afghanistan and Pakistan which is due to report back to him by the NATO summit in April. Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer and Brookings fellow, will co-chair the review along with Richard Holbrooke and Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Michele Flournoy.

5. That question has me ROFLMAO. Current strategy and tactics in Afghanistan and Iraq have failed , yet
we are training Afghan and Iraq forces to use the same strategy and tactics.
