So They Found Out Why Hair Turns Gray...
But I think the report might be inconclusive, since there is no mention of the Republican Party (and I can attest that's the reason for most of mine) :P

2. I have a theory
The process starts when there is a dip in levels of an enzyme called catalase.

Teenage children must be a magnet for catalase.

3. Not sure what turns it grey
But I have heard it goes from grey to white after defeating a Balrog.

4. My mother was totally gray by the time she was 21 years old.
I started getting gray at 20 and I'm even grayer now. I hate it. I used to have such a nice jet black hair color and my hair won't dye for some odd reason. :(

5. That's pretty interesting. I'll have to find out more about the enzyme catalase.
It sounds like getting more of that in my body is pretty important besides preventing graying.

6. I hope they figure it out ASAP
I want to buy the supplement as soon as it hits the market. I'm 44 and dammed tired of having to go to the shop for dyes, not to mention the cost.

12. Neat. I wish I could quit my relationship with L'Oreal and Miss Clairol--
started going gray in my late 20's. And those little f!@#$%rs don't take dye well.

14. I have hair that grew out gray for awhile and then got color back
Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 10:24 AM by cherish44
I found a strand of hair on my brush the other day that was colored at the end, then had about 2 inches where it went gray and then back to colored again. Weird!

17. I started off strawberry blond, then my hair darkened. It was noted by
many that my hair had every color you'd see in the humans, including the now dominant silver. My hair is now appears silver because the mix of black. My first silver from aging appeared in my mustache. My beard turned silver first, then moved up to meet my receding hairline. Rahm Emmanuel seems to be going the same direction except he is keeping his hair.

I thought I turned grey because I got married.
