This isn't even so much about AIG. Fuck AIG and their $60 billion quarterly loss.

That would be one company. Losing Sixty Fucking Billion Dollars In One Quarter. And they get a pass.

But none of the individual humans involved has suffered one fucking bit.

Oh no. can't have that.

Instead, we excoriate the Three Hapless Harrys of Woodward Avenue - the car guys - as if THEY caused the shitstorm that's raging.

The rule of law is a meaningless catch phrase if you're connected. You can do any fucking thing you want and get away with it. You can brag about it, like cheenee did. You can flaunt it like idiot son did. You can fuggeddaboudit like Fredo Gonzalez did. You can do it institutionally like all these motherfucking CEOs of all these motherfucking financial services company. You get a congress and a legal system that simply wants to "move forward" and not "look back" and you're home free.

But you or me? Try missing a payment on that manse you own 90/10 with some mortgage motherfucker. Try getting some justice from that loan shark son of a bitch who understated your risk and overstated your house's value so he could refi you into an even worse deal. Fuck you, little guy.

Why is not ONE SWINGING DICK MOTHERFUCKER in jail?

Not even one.

Torturers. Treasoners. War Profiteers. Common Thieves of Uncommon Amounts. Liars. Bribers. Scoundrels.

And you and me.

The damsels on the tracks as the train bears down.

Fuck This and Fuck Them.

I DO NOT WANT TO MOVE FORWARD without looking sharp eyed to the past and PUNISHING - P*U*N*I*S*H*I*N*G - the people that did this.

And I want the fucking money back.

They lobbied (with other financial institutions) to change the laws to suit their (stock holders + CEO's) needs.

10. I belive that Hank Paulson let Lehman Brothers fail b/c Dick Fuld was his bitter rival
when Hank was in charge at GS.
When Lehman failed, AIG was on the hook for massive CDO, CDS payouts.
In sum, I wonder if Hanks ego contributed to the severity of the AIG clusterfuck.

14. There's no doubt that Paulson allowing the uncontrolled collapse of Lehman
was criminally stupid behavior. I'd suggest that up to two million jobs lost since September 15 are directly attributable to Mr. Paulson's free market zealotry and his petty competitive issues with Fuld. It's disgraceful.

11. Where are the protests?

People all over the world are protesting bailouts of their country to the banksters with their tax money. Their citizens stand up, let their government know that they don't like their taxes being used for this purpose.

Where are the protesters in America? Do most Americans understand we are getting poorer by the day with more and more bailouts to the banksters with our tax money?

Or maybe workers have been bullied into thinking that protesting is not a worthy cause?

2/26/09 The global financial and economic crisis has sparked many protests in parts of Europe. Here are some details:

...since around 1992. It was called 20th Century back then, now it's (surprise!), 21st Century, but in the last year or two, they were bought out by AIG. I've always had good service from them, no major complaints, even after AIG bought them out, but I don't like paying my hard earned cash to AIG.

Anybody have any recommendations on other companies I could switch to, in the Los Angeles/Southern California area?

Edited to remove unnecessary punctuation.
