I Can't Help But Wonder.....
Maybe some things are better left unsaid. Maybe I'm an uncaring bastard, when it comes to certain people. I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, but I feel no remorse or pity for Tony Snow. For his family? Yes.

But, I have to wonder, would we be saying the same nice and proper things, if it were Bush or Cheney that had cancer? I, for one would be dancing in the streets. I guess that makes me an asshole.

And, I guess it makes me an asshole if I say I don't have sympathy for Snow, because, the way I see it, he was complicit in trying to shape public opinion for the Iraq war when he was with Faux news, and became a willing participant in the war crime cabal when he signed on as White House Press secretary.

Scold me, if you wish, moderators, and fellow DUers, but Tony Snow is NOT just a man doing a job. He has been a part of everything that many of us detest. I cannot separate the man from his mission, since he jumped at the chance to do the Bush White House's bidding.

Again, how many of us would act sad at the news of Bush or Cheney contracting cancer?

In my opinion they are all evil men, and have done our country and this world great injustices. So, if a medical catastrophe befalls one of them, excuse me for not shedding crocodile tears.

1. It's called decorum
I won't be sending flowers but I won't be pissing on his carcass either.

3. I have to say that the list of people whose grave I would micturate on...

...becomes longer every day.

Molly Ivins, Richard Jeni, and my Dad are all pushing up daisies while demons walk the earth.

In my book, GOD has some explaining to do if it exists.

2. You can take a bystander's approach and just revel in Karma
if you believe what goes around, comes around. I don't wish misfortune on anyone, but that doesn't mean I don't expect deeds and actions to be accountable one day.

4. Cancer Is Not An Appropriate Penalty; Incarceration Is
For enabling the Bush cabal, a stint in federal prison is the proper response.

Good people contract cancer too. Mrs. Edwards is not the victim of bad karma.

5. I don't want ANYONE to have cancer.
No one, period.

What I want out of Bush/Cheney/their minions is to be hoisted on their own petard in some way -- that is, to face justice. Not cancer. Cancer is not justice.

7. Profiting from and exploiting the suffering and death of others ...
... is an abomination ... and I refuse to join in such an activity under any circumstances, even when it "comes around." For me, that's simple.

8. If it were Adolph Hitler who was announced as having cancer
...I would join you and there would be huge circle of millions dancing with us. The question is as the list of well known people from the past and in the world today were added to such a list at what point would civilized people stop the dance and leave the circle. I for one would leave after all political monsters like George Bush and Dick Cheney's names were read along with certain serial killers. After that I would probably keep my feelings to myself and refrain from any public displays or discourse.

9. "If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all." That's what I tend to do when it comes to
these people. I can't tell you what I've said about Bush and Cheney in the privacy of my own home because agent Mike may be watching ;). HI! :hi: agent Mike!:hi:

11. As Major Frank Burns once said, "It's nice to be nice to the nice."

But....those people aren't nice.
