Limbaugh Defends Jindal, Warns Conservatives They Are ‘Making A Real Mistake If They Go After’ Him

The response across the political spectrum to Gov. Bobby Jindal’s (R-LA) speech last night has been overwhelmingly negative. Even the most enthusiastic conservative talkers had harsh words for Jindal’s speech, calling it “cheesy,” “insane,” and “not his greatest oratorical moment.”

But Jindal still maintains one key supporter — Rush Limbaugh. On his radio show this afternoon, Limbaugh leaped to Jindal’s defense. “I love Bobby Jindal, and that did not change after last night,” he said. Limbaugh then directed this admonition at his fellow conservatives:

LIMBAUGH: The people on our side are really making a mistake if they go after Bobby Jindal on the basis of style. Because if you think — people on our side I’m talking to you — those of you who think Jindal was horrible, you think — in fact, I don’t ever want to hear from you ever again. … I’ve spoken to him numerous times, he’s brilliant. He’s the real deal.

3. Oh, well then. The Great and Powerful Rush has spoken.
Not another whisper of criticism of Bobby Jindal will be permitted to pass Republicans' lips. They have their marching orders. So let it be written. So let it be done!

5. Rush threatens the republican party, watch as they run
to sooth his furrowed brow. How morally bankrupt does a party have to get to take their marching orders from a junkie on the radio?

6. Anyone who doubts if Rush is the de facto chairman of the RNC
Watch how the tune changes on their estimation of Governor Jindal. If Fox, National Review, David Brooks, and the rest of the folks who were dismayed by Jindal lousy performance start voicing second thoughts, you couldn't have a clearer demonstration that the power of the Republican party rests securely in Rush's chubby hands.

And don't be afraid to say it, either.

7. Here's the short version:
1). The freeps really, really, really wanted Ronald Reagan to run in 2008.

2). Fred Thompson stepped into the breach, and for a few minutes, they they thought they'd found their man. The only problem was that Fred had trouble staying awake on the campaign trail.

3). Exit Fred.

4). Enter John McCain, lovingly called "Juan McCain" by freeps because of his stand on the "shamnesty" program.

5). The freeps initiate a new catch-phrase: "Hold Your Nose And Vote For McCain." Because they hate his ass, but they hate the idea of President Obama even more.

6). Enter Sarah Palin. Freeps ho hog-wild.

7). Sarah Palin is given an opportunity to express herself freely.

8). Barack Obama sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.

9). Freeps turn to Rush to lay the foundation for "taking back" what they pissed away.

That's all, folks!

10. What I think is
Old Rush is going to divide the party even further with stupid remarks like this. Sure he has his brain dead zombies who will follow his every word, but pretty soon he is going to piss off some of those who are trying to change the party from the mess they are in, and when that happens it will be a "civil war" within the republican party! I can hardly wait!

11. Rush sees Jindal and yearns for the Dominican Republic.
"Bobby, got any male grade school relatives I could do?"

Rush is a pig - literally and figuratively.

14. I watched and Rush actually said something interesting
It was something along the lines of "If Conservative still value conservative principles, they should not turn on Jindal based on style."

I'm begging to think that conservatives are abandoning those hard line principle's of "shrinking government to the size so small they can drown it in a bath tub" or the free for all markets that have sent our economy into tail spin.

Maybe all the conservatives bashing of Jindal's response had nothing to do with the messenger or style but the message itself.

Could this truly be the end of conservative :)

16. Limbaugh had to defend him because
like a good little automaton, Jindal last night correctly read the Kool Aid oath off the Teleprompter. The right wing rule book compelled Limbaugh to defend such a flawless performance.
