6. yup
and he even read some of the comments posted on the 60 Minutes web page.

I was there early this afternoon, and there were at least 80 pages of NEGATIVE comments.

7. 'Have put out the word to some friends & letters have gone out to
CBS News regarding that interview yesterday, not only in regard to the Edwardses' interview but Couric's chiffon-meringue journalism generally.

60 MINUTES ought to have assigned one of ts veteran reporters to that interview.

14. My guess is that CBS management thought she might show
some sensitivity to the Edwards' given that her own husband died of cancer.

I guess that was a mistake...

15. She certainly doesn't show that kind of badgering repetition with
Republicans she interviews. She lets them say anything they want without challenge.

I think CBS should have stuck with Bob Schieffer. He was getting the job done, seems to me.

12. her "lazy journalism" with that "some would say" bullshit
also for attacking John and Elizabeth Edwards unnecessarily - especially when her very own husband died from cancer, and she (couric) didn't let that end HER life.

17. Thanks! I hope cbs and
couric are getting the drift that she bombed and John and Elizabeth Soared@!

This isn't a one time deal with couric..she has a very bad track record,as you know. I expressed my reservations about her on Saturday and the response was couric's, "husband and sister died from cancer so she would be compassionate". I said.."you would think so"

13. If Katie Couric has a shred of class, she will apologize publicly.
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 09:06 PM by Fridays Child
I understand hard-hitting questions but the direct accusation that John Edwards is putting his work above his family was over the line--doubly so, given that Couric never quit working, when her own husband was sick.

Whats the difference between Ringo Starr and a broken clock?

At least the broken clock has the right time twice a day.
