What did he say that was so logical? Because no examples are provided here.
This is the guy who backed globalization policy and the banking deregulation of the late 1990s, both vital links in the chain of class war that led to the present global disaster, which unfortunately has not made his class a dollar poorer. He also
-- claimed his World Bank memo advocating more pollution be shipped to Africa as the cost-effective solution was "satire," at least once it was exposed
-- discovered women can't really do math so well, see?
-- and by way of mismanagement and arrogance, succeeded in becoming the first Harvard president to get his ass righteously drummed out of Cambridge by a faculty uprising.
Unfortunately he's one of the policymaking undead. Getting everything wrong without exception is a requirement for advancing within the permanent nomenklatura, and being foisted on us as the not-so-surprising turd in the giftbox after Change Came And Went.
So I haven't seen the Charlie Rose episode in question, it's true but then again: you haven't said anything about it. Nothing whatsoever. Just a fan-talk headline, inspiring a bit of additional cheerleading.
So let's have the substance of your claim. What's so great about Summers tonight?
