UPDATE 2/15: Rhodes sent out a statement to her affiliates, in response to the Nova M statement. http://www.green960.com/pages/blog.html?feed=313154&article=5009873">From Green 960's blog:

Nova M Radio has not yet corrected the problem that has kept me off the air despite my strong desire and readiness to broadcast my show. Respecting the employer-employee relationship that has existed between Nova M and me, and expecting the solution to be quickly achieved, details of the disabling event were withheld in good faith. But I can tell you this much: You should not beleive any statement implicating me as being in any way responsible for the disruption in the Randi Rhodes Show. There is no truth to any such message. In fact, I did everything in my power to help Nova M make it possible for me to return.

In light of the most recent developments, my show will be seeking a new home. I would ask for your continued patience and indulgence in respecting my rights during this time. Your unwavering support is cherished. Thank you.

3. She got the shit kicked out of her

On October 14, 2007, Rhodes sustained injuries that kept her off the air for several days. Air America host Jon Elliott claimed on his October 15 show that Rhodes had been the victim of a mugging. Elliott went on to speculate that this was perhaps not just a random event, and that it may have been politically motivated by right wing factions.<20> Elliott based his comment on an email Rhodes sent to Air America stating that: "I wrote a two sentence e-mail to the company that I was mugged."<21> Left wing blogs and websites like Democratic Underground posted the information, speculating it was a deliberate attack by right wing extremists.<22> Rhodes stated on her radio show she was drinking in an Irish Pub right before the injury and does not remember what happened to her.<21>

5. Yeah, I'm familiar with that, but that's over a year ago.

I wasn't aware she was disabled from this event. I'm just wondering what the dispute is between her and Nova M.

her mouth off once too often and someone decided they weren't going to take it anymore. Just a thought.

6. Nova-m fired John A Manzo

Randi's old producer and until recently CEO of Nova-M. Manzo was apparently responsible for getting Randi on at Nova-m after her blow up with AAR.

Check the dates of this lawsuit against the "technical difficulties" and I think you may have a partial answer.

If Mr. Manzo is suing Nova M, I can understand why Randi Rhodes went off the air rather abruptly, and the site went down - we don't want something going over the air about the site or across on the site that would torpedo the suit. So this is starting to make sense now...
