ONE Special DU Heart - quality, not quantity

Someone gave me a heart. I have only ONE heart. Do I to feel like I did in first grade, when many of the kids got dozens of Valentine's and I got only one? Yes, I do - and that is a GOOD thing.

Ah, the ONE Valentine I got in first grade was from my best friend and it was the prettiest card in the entire classroom. It was hand-made, with lace around the edges (not a little piece of cardboard that came in a box of 20 or so).

I looked through the last several posts, especially noticing ConcernedCanuck, the most popular kid in the class with over 50 hearts!

But, MY ONE heart says "Be Mine!" I do not see other hearts that say "Be Mine," although I am sure there must be a few out there.

I would not trade my ONE special "Be Mine" heart for 100 other hearts, nope. Just like I would not trade the one I got from my best friend in first grade.

Quality, not quantity rules.

I have my six and I know exactly where they came from I bet. the 5 or 6 DUers that i talk to almost daily in the little hide away forums where *my* DU community resides, not from the big forums.

since I'm a monthly donor, I got 25 to give away and I gave them to people who didn't have any. anytime I saw someone without i gave until they ran out.

I think/thought most knew that the ones in the BODY of my post were just links or pictures

the ones below my eyes (about a dozen)

were given to me

I've been on DU for over 6 years

hardly ever get involved in flame wars

whatever . . .

It surprises me to some degree that anyone here gives a damm about what I do!
