Do ya think the millions hauled from the US treasury to Iraq that went missing will be found?
Federal authorities examining the early, chaotic days of the $125 billion American-led effort to rebuild Iraq have significantly broadened their inquiry to include senior American military officers who oversaw the program, according to interviews with senior government officials and court documents.

Court records show that last month investigators subpoenaed the personal bank records of Col. Anthony B. Bell, who is now retired from the Army but who was in charge of reconstruction contracting in Iraq in 2003 and 2004 when the small operation grew into a frenzied attempt to remake the country’s broken infrastructure. In addition, investigators are examining the activities of Lt. Col. Ronald W. Hirtle of the Air Force, who was a senior contracting officer in Baghdad in 2004, according to two federal officials involved in the inquiry.

About time...I was very excited when Waxman started investigating..but it appears that like many of those investigations..nothing happened..maybe now, just maybe some will be held accountable..

"My Supreme Republicon Occultist - VP Dickie 'Five Military Deferments' Cheney - was in charge of making sure you Americans will never ever never know the truth of our War Profiteering Homelander Cronies, and what they did with your Nation Building (smirk) American tax moneybucks. It's all good, because as we Republicons so desperately want, it will be a factor in helping America to FAIL. So you noisy patriots can just shut up and sit down. Smirk."

6. It'll be interesting to see how much cash some of the military people
they're investigating have stashed away. Maybe we'll end up with some of that, but I'm sure most of it is gone for good.

8. Oh sure. Along with Saddm's biochemical weapons arsenal
The difference is that those millions really existed.

The article makes it sound hopeful, but I wonder if these two military officers aren't being used as fall guys for loyal Bushies.

9. hahahahahaha, they already found some of it
A spec4 was caught in the Phillipines at a card table with about 100K and a hooker on his lap. That's as far as the investigation went on the 365 Million Dollars that walked out of the Iraq Provisional Authority. Thank you Paul Bremer:banghead:
