I just tried to contact them re: a problem with American Express, which became a "bank" so it could take TARP money, but they only take emails from their constituents. I thought, however, they'd might like to know how others who took OUR MONEY are still acting in bad faith towards consumers.
I recently got a settlement offer on my credit card & decided to call them today to wrap this matter up. The hours listed in the letter state that they are open until 12 Noon CENTRAL TIME on Saturdays. I happened to call around 11:05 a.m. today & got a message to call back during office hours, which also stated that they close at 12 Noon CENTRAL TIME. I tried to contact the regular customer service, but was told I had to call another number, so I called that number. Again, I got the same message: Call during office hours, which also stated that they close at 12 Noon CENTRAL TIME, but gave me the option of leaving a message, so I did. I tried to email them to tell them about this problem as well, but got an "error" message. (yeah right). I tried the pay online option given in the letter, but kept getting error messages on that too. Give me a break.
Seems to me that they really don't want my money, but it makes me angry that they give me false information to make it look like they are attempting to resolve the matter when they are not. I feel like telling them to consider the tax dollars they received to be payment in full.
If anyone in Frank's or Waters' wants to pass this along, please do. My rep, Henry Cuellar, is a DINO & doesn't care about this issue.
