Folks tend to think criticism of the Pentagon is a slam on Obama

Not this Pentagon. It still remains to be seen what the true shape of Obama's military policy will be. Right now, he's set up a mass of republican holdover 'rivals' to counter his own decidedly progressive change from Bush's military direction.

In my view, this is dangerous and a waste of time. But, there is definitely still a right-wing regime embedded in the upper ranks of the Pentagon leadership which needs to be met with strong opposition when they insist that the only way forward is to lug Bush's imperialistic baggage around the globe behind Obama's promised diplomacy.
