Liars, frauds and conspirators all
Rudy Giuliani: such a "fine" upstanding citizen with adulterous affairs and other varied indiscretions--he could do no less than what he did on 9/11 because he was in the right place at the "right time" and he had no other choice. Not exactly an outstanding record except for his being thrust into the spotlight on a tragic day.

Newt Gingrich: a cheat, a liar, and an obnoxious hypocrite. A man who served his wife divorce papers even as she lay in a hospital bed with cancer; a man who cheated on his wife at the same time he was condemning Bill Clinton of his infidelity. A quote from Gingrich about his former wife: "She's not young enough or pretty enough to be the wife of the President. And besides, she has cancer." (attributed to his campaign treasurer--see Wikipedia)

John McCain: Once admired for standing up for the country against GWB in his first term of office, McCain sold his soul to the devil in supporting Bush for his second term in office. McCain has become one of the major "flip-floppers" in office today on a level unreached by many other politicians. As many of us speculated in 2004, his "reward" was the ability to run for the white house in 2008. His involvement with several large Republican scams, including the Keating Savings and Loan scandal, are a detriment to his being a neutral figure in the race for the white house.

And now, we look at these three "front-runners" on the republican side. What is it that comes to mind first and foremost? The word "conspiracy" comes to mind. Are there ANY republicans out there who have managed to avoid being sucked up in some controversy that has NOT devastated our country? From those who are already seeking the nomination to those who are considering it, it appears that not one of them has a clean slate and an unmarked past.

The Democratic nominees have some skeletons as well, but not one of them is marred so badly as to be in the same league as the above three.

As many of us noted, some republican candidates hid elements of their past in previous elections that were highly controversial and definitely questionable, and the MSM helped to hide some of those potential problems. This time around, the internet is going to be OUR BEST WEAPON to fighting the conservative media and show the republican candidates that we MEAN BUSINESS. After 6+ years of the most fucked up administration ever to be in charge of our country, we need to expose the media, the republicans and their supporters and show that we've learned enough "dirty" tricks of our own from them, and can now cast the true light on their hypocrisy.

1. It's incredible, isn't it?
I marvel at the hypocrisy and the irony! How can this be lost on the masses??

2. The tall tales about Rudy G are killing me.
What did he do on 911? Did he run into the towers to save people? No, firemen did that. Did he jump up to sky to deflect the 2nd plane? Nope. From what I can remember, he walked down the street directing traffic, shouting here and there holding a rag over his mouth and nose. No great shakes there. Maybe if you compare his reaction to the attack, to Bush's reaction, then I guess he looks good but if you compare Rudy to the firemen...well.

3. Here's a few more 'sterling' accomplishments Rudy is credited with:
But he also made mistakes that should make anyone considering him for president pause. After the attack, there was no dispute that the World Trade Center dust that littered Downtown apartments and offices and blew into Brooklyn contained toxic chemicals, but Giuliani stubbornly refused the call to press the Environmental Protection Agency to take responsibility for making sure buildings were tested and cleaned properly. It was long after Giuliani left office when the E.P.A. finally agreed to a cleanup plan, but it was inadequate and the mayor’s powerful voice could have led to a good plan sooner.

Before 9/11, the mayor insisted on opening an emergency command center, which was unfairly dubbed “Giuliani’s bunker,” but critics and amazingly, the mayor’s own Office of Emergency Management commissioner, Richard Sheirer, warned Giuliani not to put the center in a complex that had already been bombed by terrorists. Giuliani ignored his expert’s advice and built the center in 7 World Trade Center anyway. The command center’s emergency diesel fuel caused the destruction of 7 W.T.C. on 9/11, and while no one was killed by 7 W.T.C.’s collapse, that does not cast his decision-making instincts in a better light.
