Question: If some stranger here at DU is PMing you and accusing you of saying or doing something
you didn't do, and keeps pestering you, is it against the rules to expose this person? I have no idea why I'm being pestered by this individual. I've managed to go more than six years here without any kind of private issue with a DUer. Never even put someone on "Ignore." But I don't like getting PMs from weirdos...
19. Thanks. It won out over "Aunt Teak" and "Xavier Breth."
Ever listen to the credits at the end of Click and Clack on public radio -- the working mothers have a division headed by "Erasmus B. Draggen," their Russian chauffeur is "Pikopf Andropov," the upholstery tester is "Mike Easter" and on and on. "Roxanne DuBree" is lovely and I'm fond of "S.O.Tariq."
Turned out the user had mistaken me for another user who was being abrasive. It went on for a while and I tried to be cool about it. Someone else finally came to my aid and explained it was not I that had done what they were all over me about.
kept asking me where I lived, my private email addy, etc. It was a DU'er I had never heard of. I didn't engage them...and they persisted about 4-5 messages and then stopped. But yeah, definitely alert the PM.
