2. Yes, but what's the point?
Vile Kyl, who is more interested in pursuing a presidential bid in '12 than representing his state and that old tired hack McGramps who is still striving for glory. I told them "I may not be one of your "base" but I am one of your constituents." I'm sure that was too subtle for them to understand.

3. what's the point in not calling?
If a small percentage of the American people called their Senators and Representatives it would make a difference in that it's never happened before. But, since it's too much to ask, I suppose your right..it won't matter. So, why bother?

5. I did do it...
Maybe I should have worded it differently. I have no illusions that my email will persuade Kyl or Gramps to support the stimulus bill. They are the worst of the worst and certainly don't care about "normal folks." But I did just in case others are also doing to same. The only thing that might persuade them is critical mass and the fear of losing their seats. Gramps is supposedly retiring and not running again so I just don't see any hope there. Unless he wants his legacy to be anti-job, anti-recovery but I don't see him giving a rat's ass about that either.

8. Vile Kyl and Gramps -- whose pair is worse?
Neither of them care about the state, Kyl only about his future, Gramps only about his legacy. Pathetic.

9. Brownback & Roberts....
Die Hard Republican Obstructionists who have their own agenda, and do NOT listen to any other input, under any circumstances.

12. Those are my senators and I take great pleasure in annoying them with the truth.
Something is always more than nothing, especially when, without that something, there WOULD INDEED BE NOTHING.

ESPECIALLY when, as in Brownback & Roberts' case, there has been so much nothing for so long.

Sometimes, it isn't about whether a particular action is going to succeed or not. It's more about the principle of the thing. In this case, that would be whether the action occurs or not. Though there is a difference in scale, I think of this in terms of "the Big Bang".

15. You know what? I think we should be asking questions when we call like: How are you keeping track of
the calls?

Did you take notes? What will be done with those notes?

How do you process the email that you get?

How are letters handled?

How do you keep quantify and then contrast and compare all of the things that people communicate to the senator's office?

MAKE THEM TELL US THIS STUFF AND THEN WE TELL EVERYONE ELSE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR PHONE CALLS ETC.
