Japan, Greece, South Pacific, Columbia. That pacific rim is looking ominous.

7. i have also noticed that...

.... the main acitivity has moved east. it was centered around indonesia during and after 'the tsunami,' and now has moved east to the pacific rim, like you say, as well as latin america and south america. i imagine there is a scientific reason for that, but i just find it interesting.

8. The most frightening part of the pacific rim

is how few are on the North American continent compared to the rest of the rim. I would be living in terror re anticipation of quakes to come.

i wonder if, after there is much activity here, it will move further east to the atlantic. i will have to keep watching! let's check in in a few years! ;)

Also within 90 days, the area northeast of Seattle, going into Alaska and Canada, will see a series of quakes.

13. Well there hasn't been a 7.0

in Japan yet.

14. well Mt. St Helens has been active for the past couple of years

as well. They don't see a major eruption but all this pacific rim energy/activity does make me worry about some of our potential "timebombs" like Mt. Rainier. I hear geolgists think that mountain is due for major activity soon.
