Need proof the GOP brand is dead? Meet Walt Minnick
Walt Minnick, although only nominally a Democrat (he's one of eleven who opposed President Obama's stimulus package), is the first Democratic congressman, from either house, to serve Idaho since 1994's Gingrich-led purge.

I figure if the people in Idaho can elect a Democrat to Congress, no Republican seat is safe.

1. It's not dead.
And anyone who thinks so is deluding him- or herself.

2. Not yet, but I think it is trying very hard to kill itself
and is getting closer all the time.

4. Amen.
There are already a small army of bitter 50+ white males without kids slavering at Rush's words and willing to vote against their own interests. You probably work with a few. Even I do at a company that actually stands to really do well with Obama/Biden's ideas. The dudes fit the descriptor to a T white males, over 50, divorced or unmarried, no kids (or if they do they never see them because "the bitch is evil."

So far down the rabbit hole nothing save their eventual lonely unloved demises will save them. Products of the 80s who never really think.

5. He lined up with the blue dogs on the stimulus, but we'll take him
compared with the Michelle Bachman-like crazy that we voted out: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/5/24/191652/185

""That idiot is just an absolute idiot. He doesn't have one ounce of empathy in his whole fricking body. And you can put that in the paper."
-- Bruce Newcomb, the conservative Republican Speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives.
