officially CHILLED OUT
posted something yesterday, looking back now, completely ridiculous. being too impatient as i might have suspected. thanks to those who told me to chill the fuck out.

officially chilled.

just read the thread from dailykos about obama's pushback on the verge. i think this is a correct forecast. not sure if yesterday was more stressful than usual for whichever reason, but i was feeling pretty down.

thanks for the reality check folks.

i'm just really eager, and needed to find my zen place.

*deep breathe*

1. I think we all need to be reminded to chill out from time to time
Especially in these days of stress coming at us from every direction.

Will we have a job next month?

Where will the money come from to pay our bills?

Will the people who created this mess be held responsible for it?

There's a lot to worry about, we're all in the same boat unless you happen to be part of "Bush's base." :puke:

7. "bush's base"...
do they still exist??

it's amazing that after all that has happened EVERYONE would realize by now how we got here.

in my job i hear from a lot of people who are losing their jobs left and right. it's getting ugly out there. real fast...

3. Glad you took some deep, cleansing breaths!
The mess was made in a time-frame of over 3 decades. It will take a bit to sort out the best steps to take in fixing it all. It will also take most of us pulling together and putting pressure on our fellow citizens to do the right things.

Obama needs backup. That be us.

4. i needed it. i felt angry when i posted it yesterday,
then i felt stupid after reading the comments, and realized how impatient, and really how scared i am.

i dunno. it's good to have a multi-voiced "conscience" sometimes. lol

11. 's OK to vent here, among friends, so long as you are big enough to take the lumps
and you are, so no harm, no foul. In fact, it is likely you raised some other consciousness with that thread. If it takes playing the fool a bit to teach important lessons, the fool is well spent!

Most of us are pulled in many directions. Shows you're thinkin!

6. I have a distinct advantage here
because one thing I inherited was a scrapbook my grandmother kept of news clippings during the Depression.

I know how FDR was lambasted during his first two years because his public jobs programs were anemic and most of his efforts went toward trying to prop up deflating prices. There are endless articles about food being dumped while so many people were hungry because the prices had fallen so far, his official policy during that time.

Eventually he realized that wasn't working and the jobs program was, so he created more alphabet soup to get everybody from common laborers to artists working again and the public works legacy from them all is magnificent. Taxpayer funded price supports insured food growers of parity, that they would at least make back what it had cost them to grow the food.

I'm not expecting much of anything but a worsening crisis over the next two years, in other words, because of my historical perspective on it.

12. That scrap book might go a long way to teach others, Warpy.
Might want to consider ways to share it. Does your local library consider hosting speakers from the public for discussion groups? We could all use some perspective right now. That scrapbook could sure provide some!

8. I'm going to go chill out now..
Every issue I could possibly think of is deemed priority #1..and on every one there is apparently absolute failure on the part of the Obama Administration. The perception management that is going on is irritating to say the least.
