Why is NPR giving Gunga Dim a platform for his nonsense?
I just heard third string right wing shill Dinesh D'Souza blathering about how the glorious adventure in Iraq is nothing like Vietnam. Yeah, sure...
He "thinks" that we the on the Left give aid and comfort to "the enemy" Yeah, sure...
Of course, D'Souza feels that the Iraq debacle is right and just.
Hmmmmmm.....maybe he should get his cheerleading as over there. In fact, he could actually infiltrate "the terrorists" due to certain characteristics he possesses. Sure that may be dangerous, but perhaps it is time for him to put his ass where his mouth is. Y'know, it's a glorious cause and all.

1. At least they try to be balanced...
...or did they include D'Souza as really, really dry sarcasm?

3. NPR went over to the dark side a long time ago. Had to quit listening.
The same for when all the PBS news/political programming went right.

That God for the internets.

2. I just emailed the ombudsman
That commentary was absolutely the most embarrassing thing I have ever heard on NPR. I have listened to the slow devolution from a bastion of logic and rationality to a scarcely disguised conservative mouthpiece with trepidation, but this? I am disgusted. I cannot think of a leftie to put on to balance that scumbag, and if I could, I can guarantee that it would be a leftie I despise. It's like they put on a literate Michael Savage.

5. It's funny how "we" give "aid and comfort" to the enemy ...
I mean, it's not like the Republicans (or their robot kids) are marching off to war to fight the enemy ...

.... is a fucking deludinoid of the highest order. We live in a country where douchebags like that get paid to make up specious bullshit for the dim-witted to believe in.

It's really sad.

As for NPR, they've been history for years now. They are more subtle than FOX, but no less propagandistic.

You will hear, finely honed, the sound bites of the right and the reasoned analysis of the right, but the left point of view is almost completely absent. When it is represented, it is done by someone I could outdo with half my brain removed.

I don't mind if NPR wants to be a right wing corporate shill, what pisses me off is that they still carry the mantle of "liberal" in the eyes of most (stupid) Americans.

7. I totally agree but, have a hard time convincing quite a few on here
of that fact. I have listened to NPR for 25 years and I
can tell the difference. They are more dangerous due to there
perceived balance.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has led the fight AGAINST low power radio transmissions. God forbid real progressive liberal voices are heard on the radio. Why would that be necessary when we have NPR as "the voice of liberalism"?
They are tools.

9. Heard it, too. The turd Dinette said we have a "reason" to be in Iraq.
We can't let the entire region fall under the sway of radical Islamic fundamentalism.

He didn't mention how his beloved little turd from Crawford did exacly that.

When Bush got rid of the Ba'ath Party, the secular political movement that once governed Iraq (and still governs Syria), brought about a Shi'ite government in Iraq and the regional ascendancy of Iran.

The ultimate beneficiaries are members of the Bush Crime Family.
