It is getting time for Obama and senate to call the Republicans bluff..

The longer this debate drags on the more it(and us) are likely to lose.. They must give them another week at the most to sit and spin.. THAN the democratic senate leadership and Obama must agree on a plan and say.. ok THIS is IT!!! Ya pass this or what happens next is on YOUR hands.. Obama needs to go on TV for a nation talk.. then a press conference and essentially lob the ball over the net and DARE the republicans to slam it!!

1. I think the Dems should FORCE the Republicans to filibuster.
Let Americans see the GOP in action, PREVENTING and DELAYING the economic help this country so desperately needs. And while the idiot GOPers are spewing their guts out in the Senate chamber, every Dem should be on their local news telling their constituents why we're in the shape we're in today, and explaining how the Republicans are BLOCKING legislation that could help because there isn't enough in it for their wealthy friends, who aren't hurting as bad as the rest of us.

The Dems need to point out we've had 8 years of tax cuts, and we can clearly see the results of those tax cuts today. Obviously, tax cuts aren't the answer. So, why is the GOP continuing to insist on promoting this FAILED policy?

I think most Americans will GET IT if this happens. And I feel sorry for the Republican staffers the next day, because they're going to be getting lots of angry calls.

2. They did that once and the repukes and the media called it a stunt.
So the dems ended up losing the PR war on that one.

3. I think if the Dems handled it properly, they could control the message.
The only stunt involved would be the Republicans.

The American people spoke loudly in November. WE WANT CHANGE. This is not change, it's more of the same old crap that got us in this mess in the first place. I think with so many losing jobs, their homes, and everything else, the impact personally will have more meaning. I don't think most will see this as a stunt now.

4. That is a big IF
Unforetunately, the republics are owning the PR spin right now.

5. Only because they have message discipline, I pray Obama has learned dems in congress
...don't have any message discipline otherwise this bill would've been marketed correctly.
