Opinions? Anyone actually have a grasp on this thing? I know I don't.

edit:

pork is a subjective term, so let's say "pork that does not function to rescue the economy"

1. It's just a propaganda war.
Republicans equate almost all government spending as pork (the exception being war, apparently).

...and beluga caviar all of it for the ultra rich in $2.3 trillion in tax break windfalls.

5. The republicans and their media whores will tell you they have
Depends on what you call pork.

Anything that creates jobs should not be considered pork. All those fat ass tax cuts are pork, they are criminal. But that is my observation.

6. One mans pork is another mans stimulus.
Obviously it can be called that, 'cause if we're gonna promote building things somewhere, that somewhere is gonna benefit. That's just the way it is.

8. Well sure!
Gotta have some obvious pork to start with so ya have something to compromise with and then remove so that it is passed...simple stuff....and then put the pork money into the roads and bridges....which was the plan all along.

13. That is the historic way things are done, but when the Bush* Cabal
came along they followed that precedent and lo and behold the Democrats went along without a single squawk.. Then it became the rule. Bush* would ask and Democrats would bend over backwards to give...I think they still have that mindset. When Republicans ask Democrats bend over backwards to please.. Tax Cuts anyone???? I think Democrats are beginning to think Tax Cuts are the only way to go....Gotta please those voters.. The majority of those that don't pay taxes don't vote anyway...
