Poll question: Should Elected Officials Be Drug Tested?
If federal employees do, then they should too.

3. I agree. But if Politicians are going to make policy, then they should abide by them.

4. I agree with you.
No one should be drug tested unless they're obviously impaired on the job.

20. 'No' wasn't an option in the poll. 'No. They're above the law.' means something quite different.

5. Drug testing
I don't like drug testing, but if federal employees have to be tested then so should elected officals. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

6. They should be tested for any signs of intelligence
and if none are detectable, they can be ruled unfit. Of course there would have to be a lot of special elections, but it would be worth it.

9. all men are equal under the law, (hahahaha) supposedly
so, they allow corporation to drug test as a prerequisit to employment, they should be tested to level the playing field. Or, toss out all drug testing unless you injure yourself, or an other during your work.

12. No employee should...
Unless they're in a position where they're putting other persons at risk, or have appeared obviously impaired.

18. NO WAY. Here's why!
saying they should be tested is conceding that we should be too.

if they drug test elected officials, then someone who smokes marijuana would be less apt to run for office, and then we have zero chance of legalization

drug testing politicians is a great way to ensure they're all against legalizations. kinda shoots yourself in the foot, eh?

there should be an answer to the poll - NO ONE should be drug tested unless they're using heavy machinery that physically warrants drug testing. test the airplan pilots and the crane operators. leave the rest to the privacy of our own homes! For everyone, including politicians.

22. No, but not because they're above the law but because I believe the law is unConstitutional.
It is an outright invasion of privacy violating the Fourth and Ninth Amendments to the Constitution.

Furthermore to empower the supporters of this illogical, Orwellian travesty aka; "War on Drugs" by disenfranchising people that do believe their body is their own would only serve to further erode any real notion of the American People's freedom, sense of self and privacy.

In short the law needs to be changed from a criminal based one to an educational, medical and human privacy one.

I didn't check no on your poll because I disagree with the premise.
