Who cares if the Attorney General told Congress, under oath, that there would never be any attempt to install US Attorneys without Congressional confirmation when, in fact, plans were in place even as he spoke, to do precisely that. A mere memory lapse. And yeah, I know that they initially said that the firings of US Attorneys were "performance related" while emails later proved that to be false, but that's just another little slip. And so what if they claimed that the White House wasn't even peripherally involved in the purge, but it later was shown to have been orchestrated by the Counsel to the President and his top adviser. Like you never forgot about being summoned to the White House and being told to torpedo an investigation which was closing in on corrupt Republicans. And how can anyone attach any significance to the fact that Alberto Gonzales claimed to have been unaware of the efforts to replace the 8 attorneys, but now we know that he sat in on, and presumably chaired, meetings where those firings were discussed. Damn it, people, lighten up! It's only perjury, obstruction of justice, and an attempt to undermine the very core of American jurisprudence. Anyway, this time they really mean it. They are going to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth ... behind closed doors ... not under oath ... without a transcript of their testimony. Why do you bastards hate America?

1. In otherwords, it's inevitable, so we may as well lie back and enjoy it.

That I have been remiss in trusting the administration lately, I'll try to do better in the future:sarcasm:

3. Right- and the Attorney General doesn't need to worry about stinkin' laws.
He's the "war" attorney general.
