My wife and I are watching Reply of the Inauguration and we began wondering
If Nancy Reagan was well enough to attend the Obama Inauguration would she still been honored as Former First Lady Nancy Reagan and have been announced OR because Ronald Reagan died she no longer has that title.


My wife said her Social Studies teacher taught her that she is no longer honored as a Former First Lady. I think it is a title she has for life.

2. Your wife had a really stupid teacher
She's former First Lady. Her husband's death in no way affected her history.

Another example of our brilliant education system at work. How can a teacher tell kids something so obviously wrong?
