I didn't realize how releived and happy I am until today.
I guess it just hit me today. I didn't realize how much hope I had lost until I had hope again. I did not realize how much I was not looking into the future with any enthusiasm until I could do so again. I told myself that even if we got a good person in office; that the wheels would turn too slowly to do much good. I am immensely relieved to find out I am probably wrong!

I find myself more excited each day, now. He's doing so much; so quickly! I know there is so much to do, but I think I did not dare hope that it would really, actually start to get done!

I am happier today than I have been in a long time. I know the economy has not hit bottom yet; but now I have faith that we can get through it together, and that there will be more than just a pin-prick of light at the end of the tunnel.

And how are you feeling?

1. The sense of relief is amazing. I realized I was living with a constant feeling of dread.

4. I am sleeping better.
And today, I had a lot of last-minute work dumped in my lap. Instead of whining which I am often inclined to do, I thought to myself - "don't complain, you can do this" realizing that the man in the White House is facing so much more than I ever could in my job.

I feel the same as you about the economy; the worst is probably yet to come but I think we'll be OK.

5. Like I've dropped some seriously wonderful
acid.

Except this is reality.

Like you, I've been living with this feeling of incipient terror, that everything was tainted, that nothing I cared about would ever be safe again. I watched my beloved Constitution and wondered why no one rose up and resisted all that those thugs in the Oval Office were doing. Now, I realize we were all just beaten down.

Watching PRESIDENT OBAMA at work these past two days, I am just stunned. A young friend of mine, who is loving this, said he now knows what a real President looks like.

I go back a long way, and I remember some good moves by Presidents, but I have never, ever, ever seen anything so clearly cut "right v. wrong" as PRESIDENT OBAMA's first two days on the job.

I think he's going to turn out to be far greater than any of us expected.

8. On election day (I think)
someone speculated that, perhaps, Obama might move things through a lot faster than we thought... That he might bring around a recovery a lot faster than any of us were anticipating. Wish I could remember who posted that. He/she just might have been right.

6. I finally feel kind of clean
I've felt so dirty for so many years, a human heap of misery created by a rogue US Supreme Court.

9. I am starting to feel real hope as well!
Things WILL get better. It starts with hope and hope leads to action.

Fear leads to inaction, and Palin's performance at the debate was just pathetic when she used fear tactics about jobs.
