I have spent fifty eight long years trying to find myself and
just when I thought I had done so, somebody stole my identity...you can't trust anybody anymore. Now I must search on and on. (my hypothetical)

Looking ahead...How can we expect the generations to come to abide by the laws of this land, with the sorry example Bush and Cheney have set for our kids?

Crooks, liars, thieves and murderers, belong in jail, even if their names are Bush or Cheney.

What do you do when you scold your child for lying or stealing and your child replies: "The president of the United States Of America, lies, cheats and steals, so I thought it was what I should do too!" What will we tell the children?

1. Wagons are being circled
Republicans are circling the wagons and framing any investigation into bush-cheney possible/probable criminal activity as a witch hunt.

Regarding Eric Holder's nomination:
"I want some assurance that we aren't going to be engaged in any witch-hunts," said Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas.

Cornyn may be an ass, but don't dismiss the "framing" as being asinine with no consequences.

If the repubs are successful in controlling the frame - there will be no meaningful investigation into anything the bush-cheney administration did. We may see a couple lower level pawns convicted on ticky-tack charges at best.

If our laws mean anything - then they must apply to everyone - no matter who they are nor what 'stature' they may have in our country.

As a country - we cannot hold others accountable if we are not willing and able to hold ourselves accountable.

2. Look at the whitewater witch hunt...now that was a...
witch hunt. Eight years 50 million dollars worth of nothing.

Torture, spying, and lying to start a war seems a little more serious to me. Over 4,000 American soldiers dead for a pack of lies. 100,000 Iraq men women and children dead because they were born in a country that had oil.

Was the trial at Nuremberg a witch hunt too Sen. Cornyn?

If we are going to forgive every crime that happened in the past, then open the doors to every prison in America today and set every felon free.

"Justice" should not only be for the wealthy and the powerful in America. It's not what the founders intended and it's not what all the soldiers bled and died to defend and protect over the past 230 years.
