My Black neighbor just came over and gave me a bottle of wine.

I hardly ever see her since she lives in another complex. She's retired
conservative military and was a Hillary supporter and almost considered Palin until
I gave her the facts over the summer.

Anyway, she just knocked on my door and had an Obama t-shirt and hat on
and said she had something to give me, because we had a new president.

She gave me a bottle of wine and we both hugged with tears of joy in our eyes

I was rather surprised.

Just wanted to share.

So she could have been one of those Clinton/Palin women.
I had thought that was a myth.

I'm glad you helped her see the light. Great story!

8. She had voted for Bush in 2004 and was a fox viewer

Didn't use the internet. I've talked about her before at DU.
Anyway, she came over to Obama after I told her where to look
and ask questions. She even bought his book.

I was more surprised by the visit and her thanks.

4. Beautiful.
This is happening. Someone shook my hand in the grocery store today because of my Obama sweatshirt.

What a great experience you had. Isn't it great. This is the energy Obama has tapped into.

9. That's beautiful. No matter how she got to this point, she
got there and that's what matters. If she's alone, why don't you invite her to watch the ceremonies with you?

12. Actually she said she was handing out the bottles to other neighbors or friends
that had worked or supported for Obama
and had helped her decide.

It was a special moment that surprised me.
