Just before his last day, I want to have a positive Bush* farewell thread.
I'd like to thank him on DU for the following accomplishments:

- National Do Not Call Registry
- plans for a mission to Mars
- extended daylight savings time :bounce:
- I heard something about cheap broadband

1. Gave weekly addresses in Spanish
Said to be "halting" Spanish, to go along with his halting English.

2. The only way you'll get a (deserved) positive Bush* thread ...
is if you get a moderator to lock it immediately after posting, sans any replies (and your comment would have to be limited to, oh, never mind--even his name is a negative)....:eyes:

Besides why would you give him credit for any of the above? Really?

17. The question is, can you support his contributions to these?
Edited on Mon Jan-19-09 08:31 PM by hlthe2b
Not really a complex question, after all. It does, however imply some more effort on the part of the Bushies* than just failing to veto...

The drunken bastard destroyed the country.
If he did *any* good at all--it was overshadowed by the horrible things he did.

21. He opened my soul, and expanded my
consciousness. He showed me things I'd never dreamed. He brought out something in me that were unknown to me. He made me what I am today, and he will have a special place in my heart forever because he did all that, and I can never, will never forget:

I never knew I could hate the way I hate Fuckface and his thugs. I thought I was good at the "dislike" thing, and I pride myself on knowing how to get revenge. I am of Italian ancestry, after all.

But, this waste of life brought me to a place of loathing that was, until then, something that I'd reserved only for things relating to the Holocaust.

Fuckface - he's beyond the Holocaust, as far as I'm concerned, in every possible way, and then some.

24. He never tortured or tried to kill me personally
Though if I would have been in New Orleans or in the Twin Towers. or on an airplane on 9/11 or a Muslim/journalist/bystander living in Afghanistan or Iraq I know he wouldn't have minded it, but it wouldn't have been "personal."
