1. For some reason that RealPlayer feed does not work for me, but I found another
way to access Al Jazeera through LiveStation. It also provides a way to tune in French, German, Russian and other English language sources, as well some US channels, and a huge amount of other stuff. Works on Windoze, Mac and Linuz machines.

Here's the Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LiveStation

And the direct link: http://livestation.com/

5. The LiveStation stream seemed good to me
but I had no way to compare it. I use Firefox, but have have Media Player Classic configured to grab RealMedia streams, which works fine with most sources but not the AJ one. It's just a choice based on my greater trust in Open Source software. I may not know what some program might be doing, but with PD others who can see how it works will raise a howl if it gets a bit nasty.

6. Wanted to thank you for the link to livestation.
I caught it on your post the other night and have been watching AlJazeera the last few days. Used to pay $25 a month for Arabic package on satellite and had to give it up. But, I got a much clearer picture of what was happening in Iraq until U.S. kicked them (A.J.) out.

7. You're quite welcome. Pass it on.
I got it from another DUer and thanked him/her directly, and then again by passing it on. We are once more building a commons, bit by bit (get the pun?), and this is one part of it. Sad fact is that Americans who get TV by air, cable or satellite will never see this coverage unless they pay a very high premium price. Or discover they can use their internet connection (if they can afford that) to get there through the links in this thread. Keep passing the word.

4. Sweet now I can watch it at the same time as Fox!
That way with two propaganda streams I'll end up somewhere in the middle
