Poll question: MEDIA POLL!
What qualities must an event have to be considered newsworthy?

We all know that the GOP-controlled media suck at covering news (please recall the lead up to the invasion of Iraq), so I'm asking this as a judgment on their overall news coverage, not as a judgment of the importance of the emergency landing today in New York.

2. Anything can be 'newsworthy'...
but nothing can be accepted as truth.

5. How the message is conveyed has nothing to do with if its news worthy or not
Is an even simply unusual and worthy of brief mention or is it something that effect people's lives? If its their lives at what level? Is it simply a local matter or is it of national importance? These are the things of newsworthyness.
