15. Several years ago, Canadian geese caused an Elmendorf AFB jet to crash.

and killed 24 people. The geese truly had gotten out of hand here -- they were EVERYWHERE. Although it hurt my heart a little bit, the city went on a mission to destroy nests and it has alleviated the problem somewhat.
