Why do they call AG Holder (to be)
An African-American, when his family came to the States from Barbados. Hmmm, and he has what sounds to me as an almost pure midwestern accent. I should be so articulate.

1. Are you saying African Americans aren't articulate?
Or from the midwest?

6. Nice stretch, but not the question ask.
It was Republicans in 2006 who said Pres-Elect Obama was not African American because he was not a decendent of a slave when his family was actually from Africa. And yes, while on work trips throughout the Midwest I delt directly with some very articulate African Americans.

3. huh? Where do you suppose his ancestors came from to Barbados?
And really, who cares? As for your comment about his speech and accent, ugh. Why the fuck shouldn't he be articulate? Are you suggesting it's surprising that an AA should be articulate? I'm sick of this kind of crap.

7. Perhaps
When evolution occured whenever and wherever it happened, that Barbados was one of the original points of human population. And no, I made no suggestion of the kind.

11. Speaking of articulate, when I was growing up my parents would speak amazingly
of athletes who they thought were "articulate" or not. At that time a good portion of the athletes were caucasian and it was not a reference to their skin color, but to the way they actually spoke. Their use of "articulate" was another word for "educated".

BTW, my grandfather (who had an eighth grade education) when he got married, insisted that my grandmother teach him proper grammar and how to sound "articulate".
