7. No fire, so it's looking relatively good.
and it looks like every ferry in the harbor has zipped right there. Probably a lot of banged up people, but we can hope for no dead.

15. Actually... if they flew out of a city that WASN'T near water, they'd all be dead
Landing in the water saved a bunch of lives. If this happened upon takeoff froma airport that wasn't near water, the crash would've been much worse.

12. Local news reporting it was on fire before it crashed.
A reporter with New York One News saw the plane with flames coming out before it went into the river. Commuter ferries immediately went to it to rescue passengers.
