Homeland nominee to review controversial ID plan

WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama's nominee for homeland security secretary says she will revisit a controversial and costly program to enhance the security of driver's licenses.

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano says the Bush administration did not collaborate enough with governors in the development of the congressionally mandated program, REAL ID.

3. Just as locks deter only honest people...

any form of National ID will only work for (likely against, as well) honest, law-abiding citizens. Just as with airport security, anyone who's out to circumvent the rule of law will very likely succeed.
