The Age of Unaccountability
We live in a time when no one is held accountable and pundits argue that they shouldn't be. From the Neocons and Right Wing opinionaters who pushed for an immoral war, to the CEOs who brought down our Economy. No consequences, and in fact keep their positions. And of course the biggest criminals, the President, Vice President and Administration, that tortured, spied, caused the death of untold thousands and stole the wealth of a nation, they ride off into a glorious and lucrative sunset. We are living in the Age of Unaccountability.

I can only think of a line from Dylan:

"While preachers preach of evil fates
Teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead to hundred-dollar plates
Goodness hides behind its gates
But even the President of the United States
Sometimes must have to stand naked."

1. If this continues
We're moving into an even scarier time.

2. Haven't we been there
for some time.
How many Corporations actually pay taxes? (less than 50%) How many reports do we have to see that state that somebody from the Bush Administration broke the law and then are told they won't be prosecuted?

And it continues.

3. We have indeed been there
But I know that we can keep digging at the bottom of the well. There's plenty lower that we can go- and I for one don't want to see it.
