Robert Redford is said to hate poor people because he dosn't want to drill.

"The high energy prices we're going to see this winter are essentially discriminatory," said Bishop Harry Jackson Jr. of the Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., chairman of the High-Impact Leadership Coalition, a petroleum industry advocate.

Help me out here... not sure where to come down on this.

10. Considering that wingnut wacko's are the source...
I would think where to come down on this is obvious!

IGNORE it!

Legislation to increase EPA standards and MPG standards would do 100X more than whatever few drops UT drilling would gain. Redford is right on for trying to preserve what little wilderness we have left!

4. Not drilling is for the good of somebody, right ?
Well, why not help some people right now. Give the poor gas credit cards for 100 free gallons a month. Then tax the hell out of gas. The demand would go down and you would not be killing the poor to solve a problem.

5. Drilling now will do NOTHING to lower prices today, tomorrow, next week or next year

Peabrainsople such as Bishop Jackson know this, but instead would rather be whores for Big Oil than tell the truth.

6. Drilling will never lower the price in any significant way
The Republisum got a little traction by putting the full court press on lying about this subject and are desperately trying to funnel those resources to their masters under the cover of bogus populism.

8. Giving an addict that to which s/he is addicted is not an act of love. BUT saying so, without
engaging in new solutions, is also not an act of love.

Jobs programs, co-housing, collaborative entrepenurships, re-habbing existing housing with applied conservation practices, energy charities are just a few ideas that present themselves without even studying the opportunities.

P.S. How many other forms of discrimination does the Biship speak out about? Has he ever mentioned how almost the only work the Poor can get is to fight our Wars for us? While the comfortable go off to the Ivy League and lives of advantage? (Just to name ONLY ONE other type of systemic Discrimination).
