If you had dick cheney in a jail cell and you were trying to extract information from him about an upcoming terror attack that he refused to warn us about, and cheney wasn't cooperating, would you order him to be tortured to extract this info? Or are you just too humane of a person to actually order someone tortured?

cheney has no such humanitarian compunctions as you, no moral compass to tell him that torture is bad and pointless. cheney ENJOYS the idea of torturing one's enemies, just for fun. That's what all this torture business is about, fun and terror.

That's the main difference between dick cheney and his ilk, and you, they'd have no problem whatsoever torturing you, and you just couldn't bring yourself to torture another human being, no matter how vile.

You can't believe a single thing anyone confesses under torture, any idiot knows that, but republicans find the idea of torturing one's enemies as entertainment, that's all, just good ol' harmless American style torture for fun.

I personally couldn't bring myself to torture dick cheney. I'm a better man than him and proud to say so.

We act the way we do because of who and what we are, not because of who or what the other guy is. We don't torture because it's "necessary" or because it works. We torture because we are torturers. There's no way around it and no way to honestly put the onus on the victim.

I wouldn't torture Cheney because I am not a torturer.

He, apparently, has no such compunctions.
