Former FBI Ten Most Wanted fugitive receives three-year prison term
A Jackson County judge today sentenced purported gang leader Shauntay Henderson to three years in prison for killing a man at a south Kansas City convenience store in 2006.

Circuit Judge Robert M. Schieber convicted Henderson, 26, at a bench trial in November of voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. Prosecutors originally had sought a second-degree murder conviction.

Schieber sentenced her to three years on the armed criminal action count. He gave her 10 years for manslaughter, but suspended the imposition of the sentence and put her on probation for five years.

Henderson briefly made the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list before her capture in 2007.

The hunt for this woman was HUGE. The whole metro area was on alert to look for her. And she gets ONLY 3 years in prison?!

1. I'll ask an interesting question....how the HELL was she important enough...
...to make the FBI most wanted list??? I mean 250 million people, thousands killed with guns and she's one of the worst? Top Billing? And in court she gets SENTENCED (not has to serve) 36 months??? Sounds like either A:The original charges were hyped past the stars, or B:The prosecutor fucked up SO BADLY he is lucky she didn't walk. And if she was just a touch cuter or a lot whiter, she may have.

2. It's really bizarre
They spent a couple months looking for her. Schools locked down when she was rumored to be in the area. They broke in on TV shows to let us know when she was sighted. She was the top story on local news for weeks.

The blamed her for 6 or 7 murders. Made her look like the most dangerous criminal since Ted Bundy.

And she gets 3 years.

Either the judge is an idiot or the police had it all wrong.

3. Or it was expedient...
...in frightening and organizing the Reich...and I don't put that past them for one minute. I wonder what equipment the police gained or what civil rights were surrendered during the 2-minute hate?
